Vietnam dominates mat at pencak silat Worlds
Vietnam martial artists won eight gold, nine silver and three bronze medals at the 15th Pencak Silat World Championships which ended in Chiang Rai, Thailand on November 28.
All their gold medals were won in tanding (combat competition).
Indonesia, where pencak silat originated from, only earned three gold and four silver medals in the event.
Earlier, Vietnam won five silver medals and Indonesia took all gold medals in seni (fighting), the performance side of the event.
