“The Vietnamese government will boost economic, trade and investment cooperation with Russia for mutual benefit”, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung while receiving Russia’s Minister of Industry and Energy Boris Khristenko in Hanoi on October 19.

For his part, the Russian minister said bilateral economic cooperation is entering a new phase, in which trade plays a key role.

The Vietnam-Russia intergovernment committee meeting took place on the same day.

The two countries agreed to boost cooperation in oil and gas, energy and mining as well as manufacturing of trucks, tractors and bulldozers.
