A group of RoK volunteers has helped teach local Muong ethnic minority children in Tan Lac district of northern mountainous Hoa Binh province.

During the visit to the province from February 13-22, it joined 20 Vietnamese students in hosting a traditional cultural exchange and building a brick fence surrounding Gia Mo commune’s primary school, which accommodates 250 pupils from low-income families.

The volunteer group includes members from the Republic of Korea’s LS Cable Company and Good Neighbours organisation.

LS Cable set up the LS-VINA Cable factory in northern Hai Phong port city in 1996. Last November, it inaugurated the second company in Vietnam named LS Cable Vietnam, which manufactures electric cable and information signal transmitting cable in Ho Chi Minh City. It has become one of the largest cable producing companies in Vietnam.
