A Buddhist Culture Week began on May 16 at the Lieu Quan Buddhism Culture Centre in the central city of Hue to celebrate the 2,554th birthday of Buddha and the 1,000th birthday of Hanoi capital city.
The week will feature talks on Buddhism and Vietnamese culture, Buddhist Zen and the marks of Buddhism on the Thang Long royal citadel.
There will be an exhibition of Thang Long ancient objects collected by Tran Dinh Son, arts performances by Buddhists and artists from the Hue Music Academy and vegetarian gastronomy festival.
