The National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union will officially open at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi on December 18 with the participation of more than 1,000 outstanding delegates from across the country.
It will also be attended by Party and State leaders, revolutionary veterans, heroic Vietnamnese mothers, and representatives from relevant departments and agencies. The event will be covered by nearly 200 correspondents, including those from Reuters, AFP, Akata, NHK, Kyodo, AP, DPA, Itar-Tass and Prensa-Latina.
The organising board said that all preparations for the congress have been completed. Personnel preparations for the new tenure has been made in a democratic and open manner. All documents related to the congress will be integrated and digitized and available via the press centre database.
The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam.
