A US Consulate General delegation in Ho Chi Minh City visited Central Highland Dak Lak province on September 4.

The delegation wanted to gain a better understanding of the localities’ efforts in implementing the State regulations on religions and beliefs as well as local socio-economic development and the lives of repatriates who illegally crossed the borders into Cambodia.

Katia Bennett, a delegation member, said the delegation visited a vocational boarding school for ethnic minority youths and US funded projects and met with dignitaries and ethnic minority repatriates.

Chairman of the Dak Lak provincial People’s Committee Lu Ngoc Cu said the province has created the most favourable conditions for the delegation during its fact-finding tour in order to make the international community understand the real situation in Dak Lak province.
