It drew the participation of 16 buffalos, aged between four or five years old and all in good shape with a wide chest, a big groin, a long neck, an imposing bottom and bow shaped horns.

This year’s champion, buffalo No. 28, brought its owner VND25 million at the closing ceremony the same day. 

The buffalo fighting event in Do Son is a traditional festival, held every 9^th day of the 8^th month of the lunar calendar to pray for good weather and bumper crops.
