Vietnam jumps to 137th in FIFA rankings
(VOV) -Vietnam has climbed one place to 137th in the International Federation of Football Association's (FIFA) rankings for December, despite losing to Malaysia in the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup’s semi-final round.
The team ranked 20th overall in Asia and second in Southeast Asia.
The Philippines continued to top the list in Southeast Asia followed by Vietnam(137th) in the world), Myanmar (141st) and Thailand (142nd).
In Asia, the top three teams were Iran, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
In the world rankings, Germany stood in first with 1725 points, followed by Argentina (1538), Colombia (1499), Belgium (1417) and the Netherlands (1374), in that order.
