Lawmakers to debate key bills
(VOV) - Deputies to the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on a number of key bills at their 17th session due to open in Hanoi on April 9.
Among the bills are those on natural disasters prevention and mitigation, science and technology (revised), education on national defence-security, land (revised), corporate income tax (revised), plant protection and quarantine, and the Fatherland Front (revised).
They will examine draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution, the Government’s tax solutions to support business production, and the 2011 final State financial sheet.
They will discuss tentative supervisory plans of the NA and NA Standing Committee for 2014, a lawmaking programme for 2014, and amendments to the lawmaking programme for 2013 and of the 13th tenure of the legislature.
During the 9-day session, the deputies will also examine reports on implementation of the Thrift Practice and Waste Prevention Law in using Government bond sales for capital construction in 2006-2012.
