The annual 2007 International Volleyball Championships will take place at the Phan Dinh Phung Competition House in Ho Chi Minh City from November 4-11.

Three national teams from Thailand, the Philippines and Sri Lanka will compete in the championships, also known as the Sting Cup, for a total cash prize of US$6,000.

The champion will receive US$3,000, while the second and third-place winners will take home US$2,000 and US$1,000, respectively.

Vietnam will send its national team and the Viet Steel-HCM City team to take part in the tournament. Vietnam won the cup for the first year in 2005 but failed to back up last year.

Host Viet Steel-HCM City will face off against the Philippines in the opening match, followed by Vietnam versus Sri Lanka.
