The Bach Dang Shipbuilding Industry Company in the northern port city of Hai Phong on June 25 successfully launched a ship of 10,500 tonnage named Sun Island.

During the previous launch on June 17, the ship got stuck on the way due to the low tide and the ship’s heavy weight (2.700 tonnes).

Designed by Japanese Wada Bussan Company, Sun Island is 110 metres long, 18.8 metres wide and 13 metres high and runs at speed of 14.5 nautical miles per hour without limit in the field of operation.
