21 businesses have qualified for the final round of the 2008 Vietnam Information and Communication Technology Awards (Vietnam ICT), announced the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) on March 4.

The companies came from a variety of fields including mobile information, the internet, information technology and training human resources. 8 are state-owned enterprises and another 6 are from the private sector in information technology.

The Vietnam ICT Awards was launched by the MoIC the first time in 2008. The board of examiners consists of 9 people, chaired by Deputy Minister Tran Duc Lai. They will meet on March 6 to select the winning businesses.

The awards will be announced at a ceremony held at the Hanoi Opera House on March 14 and will be broadcast live on VTV1.
