The seventh meeting of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council opened on July 11 to review the city’s socio-economic development in the first half of the year and map out plans for the second half.

The participants will discuss issues relating to land and housing management, compensation, resettlement, drug addict rehabilitation policy and models of local concentrated healthcare service at district/precinct level.

Reports on the establishment of five more districts in the city will also be submitted and a new chairman of the Municipal People’s Council will be elected.
