Vietnam rose from 98th in 2007 to 86th in 2008 in the IT rankings, according to the latest report from Information and Communication Development Index ranking 159 countries and territories.
The top 10 countries included Sweden, Luxemburg, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Holland, Iceland, Switzerland, Japan, Norway and the UK.
Vietnam has recorded a dramatic improvement in index scores together with other developing countries like Bahrain, Cape Verde, Greece, Macedonia, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
