A delegation from the Gabriel Peri research institute under the French Communist Party has visited Vietnam to establish cooperative ties with a number of Vietnamese agencies and inquire about the country's economic policies.

The delegation was also eager to learn about cooperation between private businesses and the State, challenges that Vietnam is facing during the process of international integration, the leading role of the Party and State in management and the development of a market economy in line with socialism.

The Gabriel Peri Institute delegation, led by its Director Michel Maso, was received by Dang Ngoc Tung, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), in Hanoi on September 19.
The Gabriel Peri Institute was established in 2003 with the aim of carrying out research on matters of contemporary history, particularly the history of communist and workers' movements.
