American-owned AIG General Insurance Company has announced the first 10 partners for its travel insurance service.

The partners include travel companies and air ticket agencies like Saigontourist and Vietravel, who will sell the insurance to their customers.

The travel insurance covers tourists and people on working missions outside Vietnam and Vietnamese students overseas.

According to AIG Vietnam's general director Terence Anderson, Vietnam is among the countries with highest tourism industry growth rates, which offers a potential market for the service.
