Japan’s LDP delegation of female members welcomed in Hanoi

VOV.VN -Truong Thi Mai, Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission on Mass Mobilisation on July 11 hosted a reception in Hanoi for a delegation of female members of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan led by Tsuchiya Shinako, head of the Party’s Committee for the Development of Women.

Mai highlighted the exchange of female members between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan as a new channel of cooperation for the Vietnam-Japan strategic partnership.

She showed her delight at the sound and comprehensive development of Vietnam and Japan in terms of political parties, governmental and parliamentary channels, along with people-to-people exchanges. She also hailed the efforts of Tsuchiya and LDP female members to strengthen bilateral ties and the relations between the two Parties in particular.

Mai proposed intensifying exchange activities, especially when both nations celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.

She also expressed sympathy to people in the western region of Japan who were severely affected by recent downpours and devastating floods.

In reply, Tsuchiya said this is the first visit of a female delegation of the LDP to Vietnam and said she desires to further boost exchanges between the two countries’ female leaders in the time ahead.

She affirmed the LDP’s continued support and efforts to contribute to the bilateral relations in line with the Extensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia.
