The event drew the participation of a large number of overseas Vietnamese (OV) from across Thailand, as well as staff from the Vietnamese embassy and its agencies.

An art performance was held after the tournament awards ceremony.

The overseas Vietnamese community in Thailand has provided great support for a campaign to help AO victims in the homeland, said its representatives.

They also said the Thai government has recently issued a certificate recognizing the Vietnamese Association’s legal status in the country.

Other activities to mark Vietnam’s National Day will be organized by the Vietnamese embassy in Bangkok and the OV community across the country in the coming week.
