The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), which started operation four months ago, is expected to represent 1,300 enterprises in 2007.

At present, it represents 200 enterprises.

To this goal, SCIC has been implementing a number of investment plans, and restructuring its affiliated companies, such as seeking strategic investors or issuing more shares, according to president of the corporation's executive board Le Thi Bang Tam.

The corporation has also invested in the securities market by selling its own stocks of enterprises, such as the Pacific Airlines, Bao Minh CMG, FPT, and the Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk).
