A welcoming ceremony was held in Budapest on September 18 for Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, who is on a two-day visit to Hungary at the invitation of Prime Minister Bajnai Gordon.

Mr Gordon praised Mr Dung’s visit as a vivid manifestation in traditional friendship between Hungary and Vietnam. He invited Mr Dung to review the guard of honour while the band was playing the national anthems of the two countries.

Shortly after that, the two leaders held talks, focusing on measures to increase cooperation in economics, trade, investment and energy, as well as in migration, consular and nationality-related issues.

They witnessed the signing of a number of documents to lay a legal foundation for implementing bilateral cooperation agreements.
