OVs students attend sports festival in Russia
VOV.VN - A sports festival with over 600 participating Overseas Vietnamese (OVs) university students has gotten underway at the Meteor Stadium in Moscow, reports the Vietnam Student Association in Russia.

The festival running from April 24-May 3, inclusive, will find the students competing in a wide array of athletic competitions, said the Association, including the highly anticipated football and a tug-of-war events, which are an annual feature attraction. |

“The festival aims to help students meet, exchange and strengthen solidarity at their home away from home,” said Tran Xuan Trung, deputy secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in Russia, in a speech at the event. |

The event is one of activities commemorating National Reunification Day (April 30), International Labour Day (May 1) and what would have been the 126th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19). |
