Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left Hanoi on June 24 for Toronto, Canada, to attend the fourth summit of the 20 major economies (G 20) at the invitation of Prime Minister Stephen Harper – the co-chair of the summit.

This is the first time Vietnam, which is the incumbent Chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), has participated in the G20 summit.

Mr Dung is being accompanied by Minister of Finance Vu Van Ninh, Deputy Foreign Minister Doan Xuan Hung, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Binh and Prime Minister Assistant Nguyen Khac Dinh.
