Friendly match marks Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties

Vietnam’s U17 football team beat their Cambodian peers 4-0 in a friendly match in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on June 21.

The football match was one of the sport activities held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Vietnam’s team, with players who had participated in the final round of the Asian U16 Championships like Huu Thang, Khac Khiem, and Trong Long, scored two goals in each half of the match.

The match was cheered by Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Thach Du, representatives of Cambodian ministries and departments as well as thousands of spectators from both countries.
