A delegation from the Communist Review, headed by its editor-in-chief Ta Ngoc Tan, paid a visit to Mexico from December 3-8 to learn about the Central American country’s political system and societal structure as well as how the state manages the media.

During their stay in Mexico, the delegation visited a centre for economic research and teaching and met with the leaders of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), the Workers Party (PT), the ruling National Action Party (PAN), the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), and the state news agency NOTIMEX.

The delegation learnt about the background of each Mexican party and ways that Mexico controls broadcasting and the internet.

During their meetings, Mexican representatives expressed their admiration for Vietnam’s history and its revolutionary heroism during the past wars of resistance and the current process of national construction and development.
