President Tran Duc Luong on April 3 sent a message of condolence to his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, over the losses in human and property caused by strong earthquakes on March 31 and April 1.

At least 66 people have been confirmed dead and more than 1,400 people injured by the powerful earthquakes, with several aftershocks shaking the western part of Iran.
