Vietnam’s textile exports in July hit US$1.08 billion, a 9.8 percent increase over June, announced the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

In the first seven months of 2010, export turnover was valued at US$5.58 billion, a year-on-year increase of nearly 16.9 percent, of which US$3.6 billion came from foreign-invested enterprises.

The US remains Vietnam’s largest textile importer (US$3.3 billion), followed by the EU (US$986 million) and Japan (US$580 million), showing a remarkable rise from a year earlier.
