South Africa, Vietnam foster partnership for cooperation and development

(VOV) - National Assembly (NA) Chairman, Nguyen Sinh Hung and Speaker of the NA of South Africa Baleka Mbete have agreed to promote delegation exchanges, further meetings and provide mutual support at regional and international parliamentary forums.

At a meeting with Baleka Mbete in Hanoi on April 2, NA Chairman Hung emphasized that Vietnam attaches much importance to enhancing cooperative ties with South Africa and spoke highly of establishing partnership for cooperation and development between the two countries since 2014.

Hung proposed the two countries promote cooperation’s specifically in bio-technological research and application use, exchange experience in State management on maritime and island scientific research and environmental protection.

For her part, Mbete congratulated Vietnam on successful organisation of the IPU-132 with the Hanoi Declaration and further attributed the success to the host’ intensive preparations for the event’s content and agenda.

Mbete hoped that the two legislative bodies can strengthen experience exchange in their performance while enforcing solidarity and traditional friendly relations.
