A government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, held a working session on July 14 with the Academy of Science and Technology and the Integrated Circuit Design Research and Education Centre to review their activities and remove existing obstacles.

He also worked with Cat Thai Company and Nam Khoa Biological Technology Company.  

At the working session, Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan expressed delight at the achievements made by these institutions over the years in the field of science, mathematics, environment and microchip design.

Mr Nhan emphasized that these achievements have contributed to developing science and technology, strengthening scientific activities at home and abroad, especially among overseas Vietnamese intellectuals at the Academy of Science and Technology, the Integrated Circuit Design Research and Education Centre under Vietnam National University HCM City.

Mr Nhan also highlighted the HCM City’s People’s Committee’s policies to foster talent in the field and asked relevant ministries, agencies and localities to remove obstacles in financial mechanism to develop human resources and infrastructure, and solve copyright-related issues.

Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan and the government mission will work with the HCM City’s People’s Committee on July 15.
