A wide range of activities will be held in Vientiane to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18) and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Laos and Vietnam (September 5).
A trade fair in Vientiane, scheduled to be held from September 1-9, will kick off with a number of festivities, Vientiane Governor Sinlavong Khoutpaythoun said.
The celebrations will include tours from Vientiane to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of veterans, artists, businessmen and students who studied in Vietnam.
A signing ceremony for several Vietnamese-invested projects in Vientiane will also be held during the celebrations.
