Venezuela’s Culture Week opened at the National Library in Hanoi on October 18 to display the daily lives of Venezuela’s people and their nation.

The five-day exhibition was co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Venezuelan embassy.

The Culture Week includes traditional dance performances by Venezuelan artists and different kinds of art troupes.

An exhibition was also held after the opening event to display 30 photos taken by Venezuelan photographer Rafael Salvatore as well as Venezuela’s special handicrafts.

On the occasion, the Venezuelan’s Ministry of Culture for Human Development also introduced a book entitled “La Cita de la Historia” concerning General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Diverse activities will also be held during the event, including a seminar to mark 200th anniversary of Independence Day and achievements of the Bolivariana Revolution on the track of socialism, as well as a seminar to introduce traditional dances and performances by folk art troupes from Venezuela’s National Dance Company.

The culture week has been considered a gift from Venezuelan people to the Vietnamese to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the 21st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
