Viettel honoured at IT World Awards

Viettel Group was the only Vietnamese firm to receive several awards at the IT World Awards 2017 in San Francisco, the US, early this week.

The military-run telecom provider was honoured for the second consecutive year, receiving awards for six products, double last year’s figure.

The products that won awards are solutions that help solve social issues related to healthcare, OTT, Big Data and network security.

Rake Narang, editor-in-chief of Network Product Guide, said Viettel, with six awards, has affirmed its position on the world ICT map.

With the increasing number of households using computers and internet in Vietnam, the country’s ICT sector is developing and its global ranking would move up.

IT World Awards is an annual award ceremony organised since 2006 by the Network Product Guide to honour outstanding achievements in the global ICT industry.

The world’s leading IT groups, such as Samsung, Ultimate Software Dell and Cisco, participate at the awards.
