According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the number of foreign visitors to Vietnam in 2010 reached 420,000 arrivals per month on average, the highest number in the past 20 years.

China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the US, Australia, France, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia and the UK, each account for over 100,000 arrivals per year and represent potential future markets for promoting Vietnam’s tourism industry.

The VNAT will hold promotional programmes in some potential markets in the last two months of this year to advertise Vietnam’s culture and tourism.
