Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Van Ta signed three agreements with President of Korea Eximbank Cheon-sik Yang in Hanoi on August 23 to borrow loans worth US$107 million from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Accordingly, the loans will be used to implement projects on expanding the Thien Tan water plant, building Thua Thien-Hue hospital and establishing a traffic network along the southern coast.

The loans have raised the EDCF’s total aid for Vietnam to US$147 million and more than 148 billion Won to help implement 10 infrastructure projects relating to energy production, clean water supply, wastewater treatment and health care.
