The Voice of Vietnam veterans’ association held its first congress in Hanoi on December 21 to review its activities in the 2005-2006 period and work out orientations for the 2007-2011 term.

The congress elected a 17-member executive committee with VOV General Director Vu Van Hien as Chairman of the association.

The VOV Veterans’ Association was founded on December 20, 2004 as a forum for veterans working in the national radio network. It now has 21 chapters with 305 members from VOV’s editorial and managerial departments, business enterprises and other relevant units.
