A book written by a Chinese professor about President Ho Chi Minh's period in China's Guangxi province was released on May 31 in honour of his 116th birth anniversary (May 19).

The book, entitled "Ho Chi Minh with Guangxi", is the fifth work about President Ho Chi Minh by Professor Huang Zheng. It was compiled by the Archives Department of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Guangxi Institute for Social Science, in co-operation with the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi.

Rich in content, the bilingual book, in Vietnamese and Chinese, is comprised of illustrated articles about President Ho Chi Minh in localities and prisons in China, reflecting historical events when the late President carried out his revolutionary activities in Guangxi province.

The publication of the book also commemorated the 95th anniversary of the day that President Ho Chi Minh left Vietnam to find a path to national salvation.

On this occasion, 100 photos by China's Zhao Huang Gang were displayed in an exhibition entitled "Images of President Ho Chi Minh in China's Guangxi" at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi.
Zhao Huang Gang, a former reporter of the "Guangxi Daily", was the only photographer to have had the honour of taking photos of the late President, when he visited the province six times from 1955 to 1965.
