Representatives from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Libya have agreed to sign framework agreements for labour cooperation with Vietnam soon.

The agreement was reached during a Vietnamese inter-sectoral delegation’s tour of these countries from May 1-9. The delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Dung.

During visits to Qatar and Saudi Arabia, contracts were signed to bring more Vietnamese workers to these countries. Libya also requested Vietnam provide thousands of workers from various fields.

Officials of these countries expressed their desire to invest in Vietnam, particularly in major projects such as petroleum, tourism, banking and property development. They said they are willing to invite PetroVietnam to join oil and gas exploration and refining.
