ASEAN maps out plan to build its Socio-Cultural Community
VOV.VN - The 15th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Council meeting opened on June 6 in Luang Prabang, Laos, discussing priorities of the Community in 2016, the master plan of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community until 2025 and related issues.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Thongloune Sisulit said the 15th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Council meeting is a significant milestone. The Ministers will discuss important documents to submit to 28th ASEAN Summit in September in Vientiane, including the Vientiane Declaration on Transition from Informal Employment to Formal Employment towards Decent Work Promotion in the ASEAN, and the Vientiane Declaration on Reinforcing Cultural Heritage Cooperation in the ASEAN.
Other documents include ASEAN statement on joint response to natural disasters inside and outside the region, ASEAN statement on Biodiversity and statement to enhance education for the children, he said.
The meeting issued a joint statement and plans to implement the 2015 ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community to be submitted to ASEAN leaders for approval.
