NZ keen to step up all-around cooperation with Vietnam

VOV.VN - On June 6, the Secretary of HCM City’s Municipal Party Committee Dinh La Thang received New Zealand’s Economic Development Minister Steven Joyce.

The municipal leader told his guest that the launch of a direct air route connecting Auckland in New Zealand to Ho Chi Minh City will further bilateral cooperation in investment, trade, tourism, and education between the two countries and two cities in particular.

As the two countries are members of the TPP agreement, it’s important to bolster bilateral cooperation in economics, culture, and education, Thang said.

Mr Joyce urged both sides to boost ties in education, IT, science, technology, trade, tourism, agriculture and food safety.

New Zealand will enhance links between the two countries’ enterprises and create more opportunities for Vietnamese people to participate in training courses in the country, Joyce said.
