The Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup organizers will fire the starting gun for the 2007 annual bike race on April 18 with the participation of 14 domestic teams and 3 foreign teams from Malaysia, the Republic of Korea and Cambodia.
The race will take place over a 1,500 km distance with 13 stages, three of which will be in neighbouring Cambodia.
The last leg of the race will conclude in HCM City in time to celebrate the anniversary of Vietnam’s Liberation Day on April 30.
The total cost of the event is VND500 million (US$31,250), of which VND50 million will go to the cyclist that dons the yellow jersey.
