Vietnam, Laos bolster education cooperation
(VOV) - Vietnam is committed to assisting Laos in improving the quality of education and training at all levels, especially at the advanced degree levels.
The statement was made by Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Tran Quang Quy during talks with Laos’ Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Kongsy Sengmany as part of his working visit to Laos from April 3-6.
During the talks, both sides discussed and assessed cooperation in education and training between the two nations in recent times.
Kongsy Sengmany appreciated the cooperative results in education between the two nations over the past year, emphasizing that Vietnam is helping Laos in training cadres to build human resources to meet the demands for national development.
The Laos Deputy Minister also expressed his wish that both nations continue to strengthen education cooperation to improve the quality of training of Lao students in Vietnam as well as Vietnamese students in Laos.
