The classical ballet "La Sylphide" by French choreographer Jean Comelin will be performed to the accompaniment of symphonies for the first time at the Hanoi Opera House on May 6.

The performance is part of the scheduled activities to mark European Day in Vietnam on May 9.

La Sylphie, one of the most important ballets in history, debuted in Paris in 1832. Jean Paul Comelin was considered the greatest dancer of the 20th century and has also been a choreographer appreciated by famous ballet groups worldwide.
