The Bosch business Vice-President for the Asia Pacific region, Klaus Thunig, said the company will seek 150 distributors throughout Vietnam to establish a network of sales agents and customer care centres, along with establishing a training centre to instruct in the use of its products.
He also said he hopes direct sales of products in Vietnam will help Bosch early decide on the construction of a power tool plant in Vietnam.
The company earlier transformed its representative office in Vietnam into a wholly foreign-owned company.
In September this year, it began construction of a 55-million-euro auto component plant at the Long Thanh Industrial Zone in the southern province of Dong Nai.
Bosch now operates in three areas in Vietnam, namely automotive and industrial technology, consumer goods and building technology.
