PM leaves for ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit

(VOV) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left Hanoi on December 20 for New Delhi to attend a two-day ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit.

Under the theme “Partnership for Peace and Shared Prosperity”, the summit celebrates 20 years of ties between ASEAN and India, one of the grouping’s dialogue partners.

Leaders of ASEAN countries and India will review cooperative relations between the two sides and discuss future orientations of the partnership. They are expected to adopt a declaration of vision to upgrade the ASEAN-India dialogue partnership to the strategic partnership level.

The Vietnamese delegation’s participation in the summit shows the country’s desires to promote the substantial and productive ASEAN-India ties, focusing on economic, trade, investment and science and technology cooperation, as well as fostering regional connectivity and assisting ASEAN to build its community.
