An exhibition of Vietnam’s agro-forestry and seafood exports opened in Moscow, Russia on September 14 as part of Vietnam Days in Russia from September 14-19.

The event is aimed at strengthening traditional cooperative and trade ties between Vietnam and Russia.

Apart from displaying agro-forestry and seafood products, Vietnamese businesses want to introduce Vietnam’s potential in both export and production, and promote investments and tourism in Vietnam.

Vietnam’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Vu Huy Hoang, said that this year’s exhibition is bigger than last year’s spotlights as all kinds of Vietnamese goods could be exported to Russia and other nations.

During the week, a Vietnam-Russia economic forum will be held to offer plenty of opportunity for Russian businesses to learn more about Vietnamese products and its export market.

Both countries aim to raise their two-way trade turnover to US$3 billion by 2012.
