Pacific Airlines brings home 360 Vietnamese citizens from Singapore
VOV.VN - Pacific Airlines on September 14 conducted two flights to repatriate 360 Vietnamese citizens stranded in Singapore due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The flights were arranged by relevant Vietnamese agencies, the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, Singaporean agencies, Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines.
Passengers on board the flights were provided with personal protective equipment, including full-body clothing, eye glasses, face masks, and gloves. The equipment was transported from Vietnam and delivered to passengers at Singapore’s Changi airport before departure.
Upon landing in Vietnam, all the passengers were required to complete all health procedures according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control. Two Pacific Airlines planes, Airbus A320s, were also disinfected, according to the airlines’ announcement.
Pacific Airlines, that has entered into a code share agreement with Vietnam Airlines, is scheduled to run two other flights on September 21 to repatriate Vietnamese citizens from Taiwan (China).
Tens of thousands of Vietnamese citizens left stranded overseas due to COVID-19 have been repatriated over the past months. The flights have mainly been conducted by Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air and Bamboo Airways.
