Party leader receives Lao diplomat
(VOV) -Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hailed Laos’ outgoing Ambassador Somphone Sichaleune's great contributions to reinforcing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the Vietnamese and Lao parties, states and peoples.
At a reception for the Lao Ambassador in Hanoi on September 30, Trong also praised Laos’ achievements in various areas and expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, its people would reap further success in national renewal and development.
Ambassador Somphone Sichaleune in turn thanked the Vietnamese Party, State, ministries and localities for helping him fulfill his tasks during his working tenure in the country and pledged his best to foster the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam.
