Top chess prodigies head to Da Lat for junior champs

VOV.VN - The nation’s elite junior chess players are all heading to the city of Da Lat in the central highland province of Lam Dong July 5 for this year’s National Junior Chess Championship.

The event running through July 17 is the most prestigious chess tournament in the country for junior players aged six to 20, and the 2017 line-up features an estimated 1,000 competitors, one of the strongest fields to date.

For students across the nation, it’s incredibly inspiring to see these top juniors compete, said representatives of the Vietnam Chess Federation, the sponsor of the event.

These players are proof that hard work, commitment and study can produce successful results. We are thrilled to again this year to host these students during this prestigious national chess event.
