VOV.VN - Unlike in previous years, this year’s National Day has seen major streets in Hanoi left deserted as the capital is implementing social distancing measures to halt the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

As of 2021 employees have two days off work to celebrate National Day (September 2), with one day falling on September 2 and the other falling on the day before or after September 2. With coming Saturday and Sunday, people will have four days off altogether.

As social distancing measures remain in place in the capital, local residents are required to stay indoors, except in case of emergency, and therefore major streets are left deserted.
