New cold with rain lasts for several days in Northern Vietnam
VOV.VN - A new cold air wave subsequently hit Northern Vietnam on March 9, bringing with drizzle, and this weather pattern is likely to last for several days, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
After the cold front hit the northern region, it caused temperatures to drop slightly to 13-16°C in the plains and 12°C in the highlands. Some areas at an altitude of above 2,000m saw temperatures to stay as low as 10 or even below 10°C.
As the new cold air wave was accompanied by rain, people felt a bit chill, especially in the morning and late at night.
Cold waves are anticipated to continue until October 13 when a warm western depression will develop and sweep across the northern region.
Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly, but drizzle and fog will cause humidity. People will feel uncomfortable in the next few days until October 17.
