Rain hits Hanoi following prolonged heat wave

VOV.VN - Residents in Hanoi were faced with the inconvenience of heavy rain on the morning of June 24, caused by the recent spell of extreme heat.

After facing over a week of fierce heat, the capital’s residents had to endure a sudden deluge of rain on June 24.
The rain began at 3am and was particularly heavy at around 9am. Unfortunately for many people, the rain hit as locals were making their morning commute to work.
A car driver is forced to turn the headlights of his vehicle on for greater visibility whilst on Nguyen Khanh Toan street at 10am.
Some areas of the capital faced rainfall that lasted all morning until mid-day.
The sudden weather took many people by surprise and temperatures have felt far cooler following the recent heat wave. On Nguyen Van Huyen street, a motorbike driver dons a raincoat to face the heavy rain.
Provinces throughout the north of the country have been affected by the sudden downpour and drop in temperature.

The deluge caused severe inconvenience for many road users.

Current temperatures are measured between 26 and 29 degree Celsius at their lowest and 30 to 33 degree Celsius at their highest.
